Our friendship of over 30 years.

I first met Josie in Lancing village.  She went to the village each day at least 3 times per day and she was greatly loved by various people who got to know her over the years.  She received a lot of support from staff at the main P.O., Lloyds Bank, The Village Florist. Asda, Jago's and particularly the Co-Op.  When my parents-in-law were going to move on to Mash Barn Estate I told Josie and she kept me informed as to how the new house was progressing.  When they moved in she was one of the first people to welcome them and she often chatted to them when they were gardening and eventually went in to have a cup of tea with them.  We all became very close exchanging birthday, Easter and Christmas cards and gifts.  I used to take them gifts and leave them outside their front door and Jackie would take them indoors.  When Jackie had her accident I became more heavily involved and was taken into the house.  I have fought in their corner and eventually obtained better housing for them where they have been very happy.  I used to take Josie to visit Jackie when she was in residential care and I have helped them with their admin.  Josie said I was her best friend and she was certainly mine.  A kinder lady you could not wish to meet.  She even sent me a birthday card and gift ready for my birthday this coming June!   I love you Josie and I shall miss you so much.  I like to think of you meeting up with my parents-in-law, our Daughter and my parents.  With so much love, Heather and Simon and Sam the dog who you adored.
